Get involved!

Whether you’re an early childhood educator, a parent or carer, a parliamentarian or a community leader, there are many ways to get involved in Early Learning Matters Week. This year, Early Learning Matters Week is an online event – but there are still many ways to participate and celebrate!

We want to show Australia what high-quality early learning looks like, and explain why it matters. You can submit photos, short videos and written messages to us, and we’ll post as much as we can during the week (and beyond).

Here are some more ideas for how to celebrate Early Learning Matters Week 2020:

For early childhood educators and services:

  • Share examples of high-quality early learning through social media (using #earlylearningmatters) and on the Early Learning Matters Week Facebook page
  • Share our ELM Week flyer about early learning with parents and carers
  • Find out what the children at your service think about their learning
  • Hold an on-site celebration within your service.

For parents and carers:

  • Have a discussion with your child’s educators about how early learning matters to you
  • Read the ELM Week blog posts at The Spoke
  • Post a message to our message wall.

For community leaders and parliamentarians:

  • Hold a launch event in your office
  • Meet (via video call) with educators in your local early childhood education and care services
  • Spread the word about early learning via your social media accounts.
